Personal Care Assistance (PCA) that keeps you independent at home
Our trained personal care assistants provide dignified, hands-on help with the everyday activities that keep you safe, healthy, and comfortable — right in your own home.
Important update: Extended PCA is ending
As Minnesota completes its move to CFSS, extended PCA is being phased out. Effective October 1, 2026, people can no longer receive extended PCA — the last day is September 30, 2026. If you or a loved one relies on extended PCA, now is the time to transition to CFSS. We’ll guide your switch so there’s no gap in your care.
What is PCA in Minnesota?
Personal Care Assistance (PCA) is a Minnesota Health Care Programs benefit that provides in-home support for people who need help with daily activities because of a disability, chronic condition, or age-related decline. A personal care assistant comes to your home and assists with the tasks that have become difficult to do alone.
At Kalkaal Home Care, our PCAs are carefully screened, trained, and matched to your needs and preferences — including language and cultural background. Whether you need a few hours of help a day or more extensive support, we build a plan around your routine.
Note: Minnesota is transitioning PCA to CFSS. If you receive PCA today, we’ll help you move to CFSS seamlessly — keeping the caregiver and coverage you rely on.
